It took ten different outdoor painting services companies to complete the project of repainting the school busses. Someone had spray painted them over the summer and the school corporation had to have numerous fundraisers to pay to raise the money to repaint them. The insurance company that the school had did not want to pay for the damage since it had happened twice before and they just had to drop the school after the third time.

I read in the paper that not only did the outdoor painting services companies just charge for the paint, but they all cut their rates of what they would usually charge in half. I was glad to see that they did not do it for free, since I understand that it is hard enough for the little guys to make it without having to do free jobs.

I own a house painting company in a neighboring state from where this happened and I would have liked to help them clean up the busses, but I would not have been able to cut the prices in half like the other companies did. House painting is a very physical business and every hour is worth a lot of money. You have to recoup your hours somehow; I take my hat off to the ten companies who were able to work for half price.
