My husband and I wanted to go someplace where we have not been before so we researched over the Internet so we would have an idea on where to go.  We know that we both wanted to spend a weekend in the countryside far from the hustle and bustle of the city yet not so far that we would have to drive for a long time just to reach it.  We stumbled upon the website of Galena hotel.  The pictures presented were so nice that it got us curious.  So we decided to book here. 

We drove interstate to reach Galena and not far from the downtown was the hotel. If may have been a short drive but you would feel that you are transported to a different place.  It was like a throwback in time for the mansion was well preserved.  All rooms were furnished exquisitely some even had the original furnishings of the house including the imported hand-made Czechoslovakian Ruby Glass Windows.  The gardens outside of the Galena bed & breakfast were expansive and well maintained.  It would be nice to hold a wedding there.

Rates were reasonable and it already included a full breakfast. Rooms also have their own shower and tub as well as wireless Internet access.  How else would I be able to share this experience of ours?  You will not regret visiting this place so book a room now.
