To Sell Scrap Jewelry Is A Gold Mine
Home and Garden July 15th, 2010My grandfather bought this old house from a family he has known for almost forty years already. For us, it was a piece of scrap. The house was near dilapidated. But my grandfather still insisted on buying it for purposes we do not exactly know. He said it’s an important house for him and his best friend who belongs to the family he bought the house from. When everyone tried to check the house for inspection, all of us were in unison in telling my grandfather to tear down the house and build a new one. And what shocked us is that my grandfather agreed but not until he checks every corner of the house. So, he asked us to give him two days to check everything. By the second day, he gave a call to one of us asking where he can sell scrap jewelry. We were bewildered about this inquiry. It actually did not make sense at all.
Not until we met our grandfather the next day. We saw this big chunk of scrap metal which was actually gold in a box. Then, we heard the story from grandfather himself. His best friend asked him to buy the house no matter what happens and gave him a key to a small box where the “treasure” was. It was his way of thanking my grandfather for helping him before when his family abandoned him. We immediately contacted a jewelry buyer company recommended by a family friend. It was such a good deal. The company was quite efficient. Selling old jewelry to them was a good choice. We were able to get more than we expected. It was more than enough to build a new house for my grandpa. Nobody thought an old house with scrap metals could actually be a gold mine.
