Trucking Insurance for a Furniture Store
Finance & Insurance January 5th, 2012Our aunt owns a furniture shop which is located away from the heart of the city. I suggested that she put up an online store, which I am willing to do for her. However, even if an online store was put up, there is the issue of having a way to transport the items. Furniture has to be carried carefully, so a trucking insurance is much needed to keep this business up and running.
So first things first—we needed to prepare the transportation. With some of the capital spent on a truck, my aunt and I spent some time looking for insurance providers. We took a friend’s suggestion and contacted a commercial trucking insurance company who offered several suggestions. We were able to secure a plan at a reasonable rate, which protected our merchandise from any damage or theft.
After the insurance was taken care of, we proceeded with the rest of the preparations. To make the long story short, my aunt’s furniture shop now has customers from all over the country! So far no major accidents have occurred (just a minor resolvable mishap)!
