I would Use the Chance
Posted by Faith on August 29th, 2008If I were in the policy making panels in Richmond Virginia, I think I would make policies that would favor the disabled more. The pity and fellow feeling that I have for them is just so enormous. What kills me is that these people were once normal people like I am but maybe they became a victim of someone else’s mistakes. I think they are just paying too much. It is only unfortunate that natural disasters or the effects of accidents are irreversible.
Imagine all the bad things that surround claims of VA disability benefits. One, they have no deadlines. You can imagine how an inconsiderate person would take advantage of that fact. At least if there were deadlines you would budget with the deadline date. Two, the cases vary depending on the impairment and medical evidence available. I think I would ensure there is a standard rule that governs all claims.
Three, you could be so unfortunate that even after an appeal, it is assigned to a DDS claims examiner who has a million others to work on. Surely when will he ever get to your documents? It is uncertain.
It is so sad indeed. The same system applies to social security claim appeals. To get them, you will have stretched your patience to the extreme. Please, can the state do something on this issue?
